WHO WE SERVE

AT-RISK YOUNG ADULTS are individuals, typically between the ages of 14-24, who face significant challenges and barriers that can hinder their ability to achieve stability, independence, or success. These challenges and barriers can include:

-
Involvement in the Foster Care or Juvenile Justice System
-
Limited Access to Education – Many struggle with school attendance, academic challenges, or lack of support, making it harder to graduate and pursue higher education or job training.
-
Financial Instability – Poverty and lack of financial resources can prevent access to basic needs such as food, housing, healthcare, and transportation.
-
Unstable Living Situations – Homelessness, foster care transitions, or unsafe home environments can make it difficult to focus on personal growth and stability.
-
Mental Health and Trauma – Many at-risk young adults experience trauma, anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges that require specialized support and care.
-
Lack of Positive Role Models – Without mentorship or guidance, they may struggle with decision-making, self-confidence, and setting long-term goals.
-
Exposure to Violence, Crime or Neglect – Some grow up in high-risk environments where violence, substance abuse, or crime are prevalent, increasing their vulnerability to negative influences.
-
Employment Barriers – A lack of job experience, professional skills, or stable work opportunities can make it difficult to achieve financial independence.
By providing mentorship, education, life skills training, and emotional support; we help at-risk young adults break cycles of hardship and build stable, successful futures.
